About Llanelli

Clean air, openspace, good living.

Llanelli Waterside is an excellent new coastal location that provides people with the opportunity to live life to the full.
Llanelli Coast Joint Venture is now into the development stage of an ambitious regeneration project that is transforming the waterfront into a thriving new business, leisure and residential community. We are building upon the partnership’s substantial investment to create a new coastal environment ripe for life, work and play. It shows just how much can be achieved when a committed team pursues a vision with determination.

We’re doing great things here - and you are welcome to join us!

Llanelli Coast Joint Venture is the partnership between Carmarthenshire County Council and the Welsh Assembly Government to drive the regeneration of the Llanelli area.

Burry Port Harbour

Burry Port Harbour

One of the main gateways into the award winning Millennium Coastal Park, Burry Port Harbour is the latest marina in Wales with a 450-berth facility.

It offers a perfect mix of leisure facilities within 14 miles of landscaped parkland, and makes an ideal base for exploring the South and West Wales coastline.  It enjoys stunning views of the Gower and is within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire coastline.

Over £8 million has been spent converting the old tidal harbour into a modern marina and yet the facility still retains its Victorian charm and is just a stone's throw from a small but vibrant town centre.

Part of the regeneration masterplan drawn up for the area includes improved road access, a 150-space car park, new boat and car parking facilities next to the slipway, and landscaped gateways to the town centre and Millennium Coastal Park.
